Celebrate the Season!

It’s that time of year…time to start planning for the Christmas season! If you begin early enough, you should be able to have a “stress-less” Christmas, and we’re here to help you achieve this goal!

Beginning in early March, we wait with eager anticipation to see what clever, unique ornaments arrive on our doorstep for the ornament issue. From simple dowels and wooden spoons to elegantly sewn and embellished suede stockings, this year’s collection is yet another winner! Whether your décor is country, classic or contemporary, you’ll be certain to find designs to suit your style. These specially crafted ornaments can be used for decorating more than just your tree—adapt some of these designs to create gift tags, garlands, pins, table decorations, and more.

Christmas is a joyous time for celebrating life and sharing hope and joy with those around us. In our neighborhood, a group of women gather before the holidays and bake cookies. At the end of the day each person goes home with a wonderful variety of baked goods to share with family and friends during the holiday season. This same concept can be used for painting ornaments. Get together and paint with a group of friends and have an ornament swap when you’re finished. And don’t forget—‘tis the time for giving and sharing. Be sure to paint several extra sets to donate to a charitable event. The value of the process of sharing and giving is one of the best holiday gifts you can give to others and to yourself.
